As an “integrated” health center, we understand the strong connection between the body, the mind, and the environment in which you live. As such, integrated health is often called “whole-person healthcare.”

Family Medicine / Primary Care

Caya Health is a great place for you and your family to receive Primary Care. Our medical providers understand that your overall physical health is impacted by the environment where you live, your social history, and the stresses you have in your daily life.

We are passionate about helping you achieve your health goals in a holistic and integrated manner through our coordinated whole-person healthcare.  Our team is made up of physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and therapists working together to make you feel better.

What this means is that you get care at a reasonable cost. Our patient-centered care* often reduces the need to visit several clinics, resulting in a higher quality of care, better patient experience, and a lower overall cost.

Core Value: Value

Caya Health strives to make your investment in yourself well worth it by delivering on our commitment to you.

Counseling / Therapy / Psychiatry

There are times when we need help from others to better understand ourselves and how to move towards healing. Our trained and experienced staff of compassionate professionals are here for you.

We offer individual and group sessions, whichever is the right fit for you.

Typically, you will speak to a Caya team member who helps you determine the best place to start. As an integrated health center, we are unique in that we provide a patient-centered care model at each location. That means more care with less stress. Our medical professionals can coordinate your care within our team without the extra hassle of sending your medical records between our primary care providers and our behavioral health specialists.

Workshops & Support Groups

We should not be alone in our struggles. Often, achieving goals is easier when others with similar experiences learn from and encourage one another. Our Caya Health professionals are experts in leading small group sessions covering common subjects like depression and anxiety, smoking cessation, diabetes control, weight loss, and more. We use tested and proven national and regional programs with advice and recommendations from organizations like Tobacco Free Florida, NAMI, SAMSHA, and others. With the help at our integrated health care center, you can rest assured that we are taking your body, mind, and spirit into account to help you achieve your whole person goals.

Medical Weight Loss & Control

Individually tailored and supervised by a licensed medical professional, our 12- week program boasts an average weight loss of 30 pounds in females and 40 pounds in males just in the initial phase. The program can be continued past 12 weeks for those wanting to lose more weight. You don’t to be part of a group to get these results, however, a  guided group can provide encouragement and support, but most importantly, help you understand and break some of the emotional barriers impacting your weight. With the help of our Primary Care / Family Medicine experts, we get a complete picture of how to support your weight loss and whole person health goals.

Depression & Anxiety Healing Groups

Caya Health is uniquely blessed to offer trained, licensed, and experienced mental health counselors, psychiatrists, family and internal medicine doctors, and nurse practitioners who all have a deep understanding and appreciation of the connection between your emotions, body, and spirit. These practitioners work together on your behalf to develop, plan and support healing in your journey towards wholeness. Depending on your circumstance, a healing group may be recommended to support your healing and your whole person health goals.

More Information

A psychologist is a health professional with specific training based on clinical psychological research into human behavior. The psychology field has been studying the mental processes of human beings for over a century and has developed effective methods for dealing with mental illnesses. It also has developed strict codes of ethics and confidentiality that all practitioners must follow to remain board-certified. Psychologists must regularly receive continuing education to stay current on a variety of topics and maintain licensure. Psychologists undergo rigorous training during their education and must complete thousands of hours of supervised practice to become licensed to practice on their own. As such, when someone goes to a psychologist, they can be assured that a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality will be shown by the psychologist.

“Therapist” is a term that can include several disciplines with different approaches. It can range from the psychologist described above to a licensed social worker, marriage and family therapist, or a counselor. In many states, “therapist” is a protected term that can only be used by the previously mentioned disciplines and only by those who hold licensure with a state board. In some states, the term is restricted even further, and only some of the disciplines may have this as part of their title. As it is a protected term, you can be assured of a higher degree of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality as those will be required by the various state boards for those disciplines.
