Dr Joanna Edwards is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Edwards completed medical school training at St. George’s University in Grenada, and completed her Family Medicine Residency training at Florida Hospital Family Medicine Residency in Orlando. She is originally from Canada.
Dr. Edwards offers complete care for the entire family and is passionate about healthy living, nutrition, preventative medicine, women’s care, and the importance of taking care of one’s mental health. She enjoys connecting with patients and the community she serves as well as giving back to the community through volunteerism and encouraging others to do the same. She truly leads by example.
She has worked in family medicine and urgent care settings and has shared hospital and nursing home coverage.
Typical services and treatments include: women’s care, pediatric care, dermatology, preventative medicine, joint injections, diabetes management, hypertension management, school and sports physicals, DOT physicals and complete care for the whole family.
